A competition designed to challenge students to push the boundaries of mechanical engineering.
The Warman Design and Build Competition is a international competition for engineering students to design and build a robot to complete a specific task. The goal of our years project SEESAW was to design a robot that could successfully navigate the course and deposit balls into designated areas, ultimately achieving a high score in the competition.
I took ownership of the mechanical chassis design and physical fabrication, ensuring our robot could operate efficiently and reliably under competition conditions. The hardest engineering challenge was tuning the physical components to achieve absolute consistency in the robot's autonomous runs. Overcoming this required numerous late nights at university adjusting code, but the final outcome was incredibly rewarding.
